Robert T. Mitchell, President

Robert (Bob) has over twenty-five years of experience in all phases of commercial construction projects. Bob has been President of Rowe-Mitchell since 1992. Bob earned a State of Florida Certified General Contractor License # CGCA32992, issued on March 7, 1985.

After earning a Bachelor of Building Construction from The University of Florida in 1984, Bob worked his way up the Rowe-Mitchell corporate ladder starting as Laborer then moving on to Foreman, Superintendent, Project Manager and eventually President. His various positions at Rowe-Mitchell have given him invaluable experience in a multitude of job functions. It also instilled a strong appreciation for the work ethics needed to be successful in every function and phase of the building construction project. Bob is a native of Sarasota, Florida and graduated in 1980 from Riverview High School. His community and charitable contributions include serving as a board member of the Sarasota Family YMCA/Evelyn Sadlier Jones Branch and the Sarasota Women’s Exchange (board member and Treasurer), coaching the Fall 2007 YMCA Youth Flag Football League, and an executive committee member and Board of Trustees (2008, 2009, 2010) at Plymouth Harbor.
Thomas E. Mitchell, Founder and retired President

As a founding member of Rowe-Mitchell in 1958, Thomas (Tom) was involved in all aspects of Rowe-Mitchell until his retirement in 1997. From hospitals to specially-requested custom homes, Tom has built a wide variety of projects in the Southwest Florida area. Although officially retired, Tom can be found most days at Rowe-Mitchell’s corporate office greeting clients and sub-contractors and acting as a "gofer" construction supplies and general errands.

Carmencita Calijan, Office Manager and Full Charge Bookkeeper

Carmencita has worked with Rowe-Mitchell for ten years and is in charge of maintaining all accounting records from posting to detailed project job and financial reports, payroll, billing, payables, tax documentation, lien releases, warranties and insurance documents. Carmencita organizes all phases of construction projects from pre-bid processes to certificate of completion. She is also responsible for preparing subcontractor project contracts and coordinating daily operational activities and schedules of employees.
